Passion is defined as a powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred or anger. It is also defined as Boundless enthusiasm. Studies show that less than one third of all employees are happy or satisfied in their current careers. Our Founder has had similar experiences. Several years ago he was employed as a financial professional at a fortune fifty company. He learned after many years in the corporate arena that it’s not for everyone. In an era of takeovers, downsizing and job shipping it became ever apparent that it was time to carve out ones own career path. Though many careers provide a decent living wage, too many leave you still hungry and yearning for something more.
Emanuel decided at that time in his life not to pursue a career but to pursue his passion. In search of meaningful personal fulfillment the chef relied on his gift as well as his hobby, (Food). As he likes to put it “I went back to basics”. He believes that life’s passions are simply ones dreams. “Why not follow that dream”?
At “Soul Food School” the philosophy of putting passion in what we do is obvious. Every member of our culinary team has an insurmountable passion for food and people as does its founder. Chef Emanuel says that if we do our job effectively our customers can “taste the passion”. We are committed to providing a fun value added learning experience to all, of our food enthusiast.
